Music4Life String Orchestra, based in Ajax, Ontario, is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Conductor to join our dynamic team! If you’re passionate about helping string musicians of all ages and abilities achieve their full potential, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you'll work closely with our conductor to lead an inclusive orchestra that features a mix of approximately 40-50 amateur and professional musicians. You’ll assist in rehearsals, fill in for the conductor as needed, and ensure seamless direction across concert seasons. As the Assistant Conductor, you’ll also play a key role in preparing the ensemble for performances, attending all dress rehearsals, and being ready to step into a leadership role for concerts whenever required.

Music4Life String Orchestra is seeking an enthusiastic AND skilled violinist, violist, cellist or bass player for the position of Substitute/Part time Section Leader. If you aspire to assist string musicians of all ages and skill levels achieve their musical best then we want YOU!

Based out of Ajax, Ontario, our friendly and welcoming environment will allow you to lead our Viola section, on a substitute basis, which consists primarily of amateur learners/musicians.  As Substitute/Part time Section Lead, you will fill in for our regular lead for practices, conduct periodic sectionals, and provide guidance to musicians during rehearsals. As a part-time section lead you will also perform at all of our concerts requiring you to attend dress rehearsal and concerts.  This is a great position for someone who embraces a creative atmosphere, enjoys collaboration and wants to hold a leadership role in the arts!
