Assistant Concertmaster
JOB DESCRIPTION
Music4Life String Orchestra is seeking an enthusiastic AND skilled violinist for the position of Assistant Concertmaster. The position is available starting in January 2024 and is renewed per concert season. If you aspire to assist string musicians of all ages and skill levels achieve their musical best then we want YOU!
Based out of Ajax, Ontario, our friendly and welcoming environment will allow you to assist our concertmaster in leading the violin 1 section which consists primarily of amateur learners/musicians. As assistant concert master, you will fill in for our concertmaster for practices, conduct periodic sectionals, and provide guidance to musicians during rehearsals when our concertmaster is not available. As assistant concertmaster you will also perform at all of our concerts requiring you to attend periodic rehearsals throughout the season, and to attend all dress rehearsals and concerts. You must be prepared to be concertmaster in the event that the current person is not available. This is a great position for someone who embraces a creative atmosphere, enjoys collaboration and wants to hold a leadership role in the arts!

Rate: $70 / rehearsal : $200/ concert
Part Time Substitute Violin Section Lead

The position is available starting in January 2024 and is renewed per concert season. If you aspire to assist string musicians of all ages and skill levels achieve their musical best then we want YOU!
Based out of Ajax, Ontario, our friendly and welcoming environment will allow you to lead our Violin 1 or 2 section, on a substitute basis, which consists primarily of amateur learners/musicians. As Substitute/Part time Section Lead, you will fill in for our regular lead for practices, conduct periodic sectionals, and provide guidance to musicians during rehearsals. As a part-time section lead you will also perform at all of our concerts requiring you to attend dress rehearsal and concerts. This is a great position for someone who embraces a creative atmosphere, enjoys collaboration and wants to hold a leadership role in the arts!
